The cover we arrange.
From the liabilities every contract demands to the specialist lines that only matter once, and matter enormously. Each is placed and negotiated by a senior broker.
Products
A policy schedule is easy. Getting the wording right is the job.
Most businesses buy the same handful of covers. What separates one programme from another is how the wording responds when something goes wrong, and whether the limits actually satisfy the contracts you have signed.
We read both. If a product below is not right for you, we will say so.
What we place
Products at a glance
Arranged individually or built into a single programme with one renewal date.
Public & Products Liability
Injury or damage caused to third parties by your work, your people or the products you supply. Most construction contracts set a minimum limit, commonly £5m, and we make sure yours clears it.
Employers’ Liability
Compulsory cover for injury or illness suffered by anyone working under your control, labour-only subcontractors included. £10m is the market standard and the figure principal contractors ask to see.
Contractors’ All Risks
The works themselves, plus plant, tools and materials on site, insured against damage and theft for the length of the contract and through the defects liability period.
Single Project Insurance
A standalone policy for one contract, arranged for its full duration. Useful where a job sits outside your annual programme on value, height, depth or duration.
JCT 6.5.1 Non-Negligence
The joint-names cover a JCT contract calls for when adjoining property is damaged and nobody has been negligent. It is usually asked for late in the day, so we place it quickly.
Material Damage
Buildings, plant, stock and contents at your own premises, with business interruption written alongside so a loss does not take your income with it.
Motor Fleet
Vans, HGVs, company cars and plant on the road under one policy and one renewal, with claims experience and driver risk managed as a whole rather than vehicle by vehicle.
Professional Indemnity
For design, specification and advice. Any contractor carrying design responsibility now needs it, and insurers read the wording far more closely than they once did.
Management Liability
Directors and officers protected personally, with employment practices and corporate legal liability sitting alongside in the same programme.
Environmental Impairment Liability
Pollution, contamination and clean-up costs, including gradual pollution, which standard liability wordings either exclude outright or cut back to very little.
Cyber Insurance
Incident response, recovery and liability after a breach, a ransomware attack or a fraudulent payment instruction. For most businesses this is now an operational risk, not an IT one.
Personal Accident
Benefits for directors, employees and working partners injured at work or away from it, so people stay supported through the period they cannot work.
Performance Bonds
Surety arranged where a contract requires a bond, so the security can be given without tying up your banking facilities to do it.
